Dr. H. S. Gulati, retired from Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana in July, 2005 as Prof. and Head, department of Soil & Water Engineering. He served Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana for 36 Years in various capacities. His expertise is in area of Water Resources Management. He has long teaching and research experience and has guided many B. Tech, M. Tech & Ph. D students. He has published more than 20 research papers in International and National Journals. He has presented more than 20 research papers in various conferences, symposium and workshops. He has published more than 80 extension articles in various journals, newspapers etc.

He has delivered 15 Television talks on Door Darshan Kendra Jalandhar. He is widely traveled man. He obtained advanced training in water resources management from university of California, Davis, U.S.A. He also visited number of universities/ Institutes in Netherland and U.S.A. He takes keen interest in improving the teaching standard, in maintaining the discipline and organizing various activities at the campus of Lala Lajpat Rai Institute of Engineering and Technology, Moga.
